RAEL researcher Dan Prull will present his current Ph.D. work which
centers on designing a Microgrid system for Necker Island.
The Necker Island design involves a unique mix of photovoltaics, wind,
flow battery technology, emissions aftertreatment and distributed control
- resulting in an estimated 98% reduction in annual CO2e emissions.
General Microgrid design, economics and systems integration issues will be
discussed.
