Dan Kammen speaking at the Tribal Renewable Energy Conference

Tuesday, June 23, 2009 - 5:30am - 6:00am

The nation has seen a vast increase in renewable energy production over the past few
years, and current state and federal policies are likely to ensure that it plays significant role
in meeting the country's growing energy needs in the future. Tribes can play a part in the
new energy economy, since tribal lands are often rich in renewable energy resources.
Developing these resources can assist in job development, energy self-sufficiency, and
economic development while meeting the growing demand for energy in an
environmentally sustainable manner.
