This will be a spe­cial RAEL lunch to dis­cuss and explore research direc­tions in the emerg­ing area of ‘Energy Devel­op­ment in Con­flict Set­tings’, where Samira Sid­dique is work­ing in the Rohingya con­text, and Hilary Yu is work­ing in east­ern Demo­c­ra­tic Repub­lic of the Congo.  More gen­er­ally, a num­ber of large-​​scale efforts are emerg­ing on cam­pus in this area, includ­ing a likely team-​​based research pro­posal and poten­tial center.
